The University of Stuttgart team won a Gold Medal at the international iGEM Competition 2025 and ranked among the top five in the “Best Measurement” category.
With their environmentally friendly approach to recycling rare metals such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium from used catalysts, the students impressed the jury with both innovation and sustainability.
