PhD position: Scaling-Down Cell Culture Processes

As part of a German Priority Research Network funded by DFG a novel scale-down device will be developed at IBVT in collaboration with other academic partners. The device will aim to give profound insight in cellular activities while cells are exposed to industrial production conditions.

PhD candidates should offer a proactive attitude. They should love construct novel devices and should offer a hands-on expertise in cultivation, in particular of mammalian cells. You should be trained as a master of technical biology, biotechnology, biochemical engineering or similar programs. You should also be open minded for the application of modeling tools to quantify the cellular dynamics.

The position should be filled by September 2019.
