The IBVT was represented at this years DECHEMA Himmelfahrtstagung on Bioprocess Engineering. From 23 to 25 May 2022, the conference took place under the heading: 'Future bioprocesses for a sustainable industry' in the Atrium Hotel in Mainz.
Besides the director of the institute, Prof. Takors, who took one of the chair-man positions, also 6 Ph.D. students of the institute were present.
Tobias Müller ('Introduction of mutual interdependencies as a relational framework of synthetic co-cultures') and Jan Müller ('From single gene translation to global elongation assessment - a dynamic translational model for Escherichia coli') gave presentations.
Lorena Hägele ('CRISPRi enables rapid growth followed by stable aerobic pyruvate formation in Escherichia coli without auxotrophy'), Lena Gaugler ('Accessing biopharmaceutical large-scale conditions via a single multi-compartment Bioreactor (SMCB)'), Stefanie Föller ('Effect of red and blue LED light on CHO batch cultures with respect to optogenetic switches') and Jan Notheisen ('Bioplastics from lignin - fermentation of R. jostii for the production of 2,4-pyridinedicarboxylic acid') gave a contribution in the form of a poster."
